Ankara's New Modern Face
Architectural photography is not just about documenting a finished building; it's about telling the world about the design philosophy and the quality of materials behind that building. Designed by Artde Architecture (Architect İsa Parlak) in Ankara, the Güneştekin Group Headquarters Building represents the modern face of the city with its contemporary lines and innovative use of materials.
It is a source of pride for my professional career to have carried out the architectural photography for this special project and to have the results published as a case study titled "Ankara's Symbol of Modernity" by Cosentino , a global leader in the surface coatings industry.
The Spirit of the Project and the Power of Photography
Güneştekin Headquarters features a horizontal design that combines transparency and dynamism. While reflecting architect İsa Parlak's vision of "a design that will serve as a reference for its surroundings" in the photographs, the main points I focused on were these:
Material Texture: To capture the industrial yet warm texture of the Dekton panels (Trilium and Lunar colors) used on the facade , at different angles of sunlight.
Light and Volume: To emphasize the flow of natural light into the interiors and the simplicity in the building's massing.
Technical Details: To showcase the flawless workmanship of the adhesive-ventilated exterior facade (AVC) system.
Quality certified by Cosentino.
The fact that the visual set I prepared was featured in an article published on Cosentino's global website demonstrates the international recognition of our work. As the article states, the building is not just an office, but a structure that "tells a visual story." My role was to be the narrator of that story.
